Past 2 weeks, I’ve gone out to WRC about 5 times.
Each time, I end up catching a minimum of about 15+ BIG OL’ gizzard shad.
I see the Asian folk catching the same and a small number of small yellow bass.

Anyone else having the same luck lately?
Haven’t seen ANYONE making major moves on the crappie there lately.

That creek is too overfished. Has had problems with gill nets in the past and could be the case this year too. I would try other creeks.

If you want to have some real fun, go walk the creek and watch those guys with a set of binoculars. They move pretty fast once they see you!!! These same guys like to keep everything they catch and hide the fish in plastic bags in the bushes.

Still some active bass in WRC. Caught about a week ago in NE Dallas, just under 3 lbs.

Nice, man!! I need to go out and try catching me some bass! Been too long!
I’ve mainly been concerned with catching those crappie in limit numbers!
Have yet to even come close...
Lol

Seen a few crappie come out along the bend. Loaded with magnum gizzards in that creek right before today’s rain
