Have you ever made this using Tamarind Concentrate Paste? I received my two orders today and want to make some. I have a recipe I want to try. Do you have a recipe you may want to share using this exotic ingredient?

I don't have a recipe, but would sure like to know how it works for you. I start out with regular Stubb's and add apple cider vinegar, Franks hot sauce, brown sugar, and a shot of catchup. Think tamarind is used in either Heinz 57 and or A1 sauce and I love them both.

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

It's VERY sour. Use sparingly.

The wife went to the store today and picked up a few things I need for my sauce and the mason jars. I will be cooking some in the next day or 2. I'll let ya'll know how it went and post my recipe if you want to make some. There are quite a few ingredients. EXOTIC BBQ Sauce!!

It's on the stove and simmering..........smelling gooooooooood.
Now after 30 minutes and letting it cool, I tasted and its very good I think. It has a bite, but nowhere near HOT. One change I will make is cut down on the heat. Too warm for momma!! If you would like my recipe, just PM me for more info.

My recipe for Tamarind BBQ Sauce

2 cups of HUNTS ketchup
2 tbsp of chili powder
1 tsp of salt and pepper each
1/2 cup of yellow mustard and apple cider vinegar
4 tbsp of Worcester sauce
1/4 cup of each....lemon juice,A1 steak sauce, molasses, and honey
1 cup of light brown sugar
2 tbsp of Tamarind Paste
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 large chopped onion
8 cloves of chopped garlic
1 chili pepper seeded and chopped

In a sauce pan add oil, chopped onions and garlic and chili pepper until onions are visibly clear.
Add the sauce mix and bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes. NOTE: you can strain out the solids
or put in a blender as I did. Water bath for 25 minutes if you so desire. I didn't !! I just sterilized the mason jars and lid with rubber seal as it tends to make a better seal when the rubber is soft. Cool and put in fridge for 3 days to let spices blend well for that perfect flavor. I would highly recommend you use HUNTS ketchup bc stuff like Heinz has all kinds of [censored] in it. HUNTS is the BEST.

ENJOY Merry Christmas to all. Ed & Denise
