Here's what Carl at BPS told me about this. Not yet for Navionics but soon since Garmin bought Navionics. I need to find out more since I have a Navionics chip in my Helix. Customer service at Garmin may have the answer.

I bought some big rubber bands on Amazon and they keep it place before I hit lake . When on the lake I just have to make sure the click in and then make sure they are locked into place. I have heard of a guy losing his into the lake.

After the heads up about the Garmin coming loose I went back out and checked mine and with a little more pressure heard the "click". Still gonna keep an eye on it. Since mine is on the bow I may not use the mapping much but the waypoints will come in handy.

Do not expect a Navionics card to work in Garmin (dare I say ever, but definitely not in any near future). What they have done in their new g3 mapping is incorporate the Navionics mapping into the Garmin mapping. It's pretty damn good!

A lot of guys that are running big units on the bow are buying these up and dedicating them solely to panoptix and livescope. It has to be the 93sv PLUS, the original 93 sv is not compatable with panoptix or livescope. At $600 this is a ridiculously good deal.

The 93sv Chirp is compatible with Panoptix, but not Livescope.
As stated you need the Plus units for Livescope.

Update on Garmin echomap plus 93sv, WINNER. Tried it out today and love it. Really clear and easy to operate. Now to save a few bucks and add panoptics.

Mine ended up in the lake but I was able to turn around real quick and retrieve it, don't like the quick release at all.

Quick release is great for security. Hard to steal whats not there. But you MUST make sure it snaps in. Hear it and pull hard to check then your good to go.

It scares me sometimes so I pull and tug on it to make sure it's lock in.. I am afraid I will lose it also.
