You guys getting Amazon Tatsu - any issues with fake line? I recall there were complaints earlier this year, people complaining about off color line, spooling, etc...

No, no fake line, people posted that when they went to non level winding all the larger spools... its a non issue Ive never heard of anyone getting fake line. I check amazon and e bay when I buy mine in 1000 yard spools sometimes there are some really low prices, clearly by someone who is just listing skews and has no idea about the product. It usually comes in a amazon box on ebay or amazon it seems.

I use 15,17 (no longer made), and 20# Red Label on my casting reels. I go through a fair amount of line and don't see the advantage of throwing away a more expensive line. I have zero problems with the stiffness of the Red Label and I have used enough InvizX to make a comparison. I won't use the 8lb Red label on spinning equipment because It kinks, coils and weakens more than the 8 lb 100% P line I use for that purpose.

That 17 is probably 3 yrs old, but it's been kept in the basement, not in a hot garage in Tx.

Tackle whs has all tatsu on sale NOW...
I bought a bunch of rolls last year at this time. I believe they sell it out and re stock tatsu with fresh. They will lower the price again is my bet, at least thats how it went last year.

I switched over to sunline sniper for 2 years but am going back to Seaguar. It casts better and is more manageable in my opinion. Tatsu sounds nice but I dont want to worry constantly about ruining really expensive line. I saw MDJ talk about his yearly line order, only Tatsu for light line(6-8) then invizx and the speciality stuff. For a guy who gets it free it tells me a lot.

That is interesting, I swore off invisx years ago due to some bad experiences with it, but that might have been my inexperience with fluoro, to be honest. I haven't had any issues with Sniper, but have picked up a few spools of Tatsu to try. Maybe I should grab a spool of invisix and try it again.

I tried out some Sunline super FC sniper once. Now I use it for hanging Christmas ornaments on the tree. I went back to Invizx because I can always depend on it.

Id never try and pressure anyone to spend money... BUT I can assure you there is no doubt in my mind that I ruin less line because tatsu is better... I am a tight [censored]. I super glue baits together until I cant glue them again... I go thru my garbage every few days in my boat and glue baits together and save some pieces for future glue etc. I spool braid on all my reels and fill them up just leaving enough room for 100 yard of floro.. I tape around the braid and that way it is like all my reels are shallow spools. That helps to have less of a nest if there is a mess up as well as re spooling only takes 100 yards. When my line gets some memory I drag it behind my boat some and will add some conditioner on a rag as I reel it in. Its like new line then. I like many people have more rods in my boat than I can use so I find the ones I dont use often can use a good drag once in a while.. my 15 and 20 tatsu will get some memory if not used for a week or two. I very very seldom get back lash messing up my line anymore. Line conditioner works, but I dont use it that often because it seems to melt the line if you just spray it on and dont fish that rod. The correct thing to do would be to use a rag and put conditioner on as you put each rod away, make a long cast and condition it on retrieve... I NEVER seem find time to do that.

BUT if I have to pay for it I want tatsu because I use less...

Nobody uses 100% Berkley Trilene?
I compared a several lines but that was years ago. I've always had success with it, mostly 8 and 10 pound. Is it not as good?
