 F150 Transmission Problems

Well, my 2013 is in the shop with 79k miles. The problem was two-fold. Sometimes the speedo would stop working and go into limp mode. Sometimes if you push the gas, the truck would downshift all the way to 1st (even at highway speeds). Once you stopped, it works correctly again. $1200 fix. This sounds familiar: sudden downshift

Wasn't there a recall for that problem? I know one of my friends had the same down shift issue and it got covered by the recall.

I've owned Ford pickups and cars since 1951 and have never had any kind of mechanical failure with any of them. Now own a 2018 FX 150 and it's without a doubt the best of them all. There's a chance of getting a lemon with any make but so far so good with me so I guess I'll stick with'em.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

Ive owned ford, gm, chevy , dodge/ram, and honda and never had any engine or transmission trouble with any of them.

I've owned Ford pickups and cars since 1951 and have never had any kind of mechanical failure with any of them. Now own a 2018 FX 150 and it's without a doubt the best of them all. There's a chance of getting a lemon with any make but so far so good with me so I guess I'll stick with'em. I owned Fords for 30+ years and will never own another. Ford not admitting to well known paint problem on their SuperCrew was the last straw. Instead of lying to me they could have at least said we know there is a problem but since you are a couple of thousand miles out of the bumper to bumper warranty we are not covering it. They chose to make up some story about something scraping the paint when it was obviously defective.

I had a K2500 break a crankshaft at 40k miles and GM wouldnt do anything to help, their words...you either have warranty or you dont.

Ford has a recall right know on there 10 speed transmissions I’d check for previous recalls on them Funny, I just had mine in for service Thursday and the only recall out was for a chance of a frozen door handle and it only applied to certain parts of the country. Recall must have just happened.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

Ford has a recall right know on there 10 speed transmissions Id check for previous recalls on them You have any details on this? I have not seen or heard anything on it.

Ford has a recall right know on there 10 speed transmissions I’d check for previous recalls on them That one was for the shift linkage.
