My standard offerings. Throw some corn out, drop a marker buoy, and then back away 50-60 ft. Dip fly in a an open can of corn sweeten with extra sugar. Then cast and wait.

I never tried it for bait, but a neighbor sometimes throws out cold, leftover French fries.

As kids, we'd make plain oatmeal, a little thicker than normal, put it on a hook and let it dry in the sun.
