Im going to fish the mega bass at fork, the weigh in's are at lake fork marina, should I reserve my rv spot there or lake fork resort just around the bend?

I was leaning towards the resort due to its proximity to the 515 bridge so I can fish the humps there etc even on a windy day. Ill be there a few weeks after the mega bass unless the fishing sucks.

Ive been to both places but unsure if EVERYONE clogs up lake fork marina etc? Im sure it is crazy on the whole lake?

I have no expectations of the mega bass, just want to do it to say I fished with that many people once. When it gets closer Ill be looking for someone who wants to fish with me most likely.

Thanks Jeff

You better call today because chances are good both are already filled up. I've never stayed at LFR but I know the accomodations at LFM are great. Great people at LFM too. Also with the tournament going out of that LFM you will have to take into account the crowds there in the park at times but then again all marinas are crowded for that event.

LFR would get my vote simply because traffic around the area will be less than LFM. Five minute boat ride between those two locations.

You can also fish nearly any team tournament by yourself. Always plenty of guys doing that at BassChamps, etc.

thanks I got a spot at lake fork resort. I cant erase the post I guess.

Im not really into the tourney fishing per say for the competition part, more of for the fun etc. I spent 23 years racing oval track cars so Im over the competition part.

I fished with the lake fork anglers last year and that was a good time. Club fishing is probably more to my liking.

Im fortunate that is for sure....

Starting from here Jan 4th, heading straight to Falcon, then working my way North after that... So actually 3 months in Texas. I just reserved at fork for a month because its cheaper than daily rate. Daily for 14 days is more than paying for a month.. Saves $50 bucks on a 14 day stay.
