Biggest piece of junk ever made. This marks the 7th one I will have put in the boat. Last one I got about 3 years out of it by silicon sealing it and not even talking about water around it. At $120 a shot that's $840 over the years. You would think if they know it's junk which they do they would at least sell it at their cost or get a alternative. You never know if you will have light, livewell or bilge.
Great Bass Cat service? I don't get it.

Im not familiar with the vision touch pad. I see there are several conversion kits in Bass Cat online store. Can you make a change?

Bass Cat now has a new vendor for these panels which are better. Sorry you had such a run of bad units! Have you talked to BCB and ask for some help? Every boat manufacturer that has used pressure sensitive panels have had their share of issues!

I have been through this issue with Basscat before. I talked to them several times in the past. No help other than sell another one to you. Good to hear about another manufacturer. Hopefully this one is better.

Replace with the DLX security pad Looks like its the newer version maybe? I haven't ever had any issues from my touch pad but I have the A10. If that doesn't work, might post on owners site and you will hear from BC.
I doubt making a post here will help you get the issue figured out unless Tommy or couple of the other guys have replaced a bunch of them or know if any issues.
Hope you get issues resolved

The dash you are talking about in your 1998 model isn't what he's talking about here.

New pad is on it's way. I will see how long it lasts. Issue with the last one was several of the indicator lights didn't work within the first 3 months but it still ran everything. You just had to know what position each switch was in by listening to the bilge or livewell and watching the running lights.

Dang it. I've been really thinking about buying a new Bass Cat. I know [censored] breaks on all boats, but to hear that BC is aware of the issue and NOT helping is kinda scary. Sorry Fish. Keep throwin them cash and you're gonna have to change your handle to walletspanker!

FWIW this panel is common complaint on other Basscat forums as well, so it must be a problematic issue. Hopefully BC got it worked out with this new vendor.
