how long do they have to stand at attention before being relieved. Seems like it would be hard to do for long

That detail must suck, a lot of discipline there, I was on a funeral detail when I was private at Ft Carson in the winter, it was not fun

I have watched it all so far. Been majestic at every stop. Noticed they had big boys to carry him up to the Rotunda. I am going to have shake lip tomorrow watching his service at the National Cathedral. Got choked up on this.....

Enough of this idle chit-chat. This ain't no retirement home. EVERYONE! Get back to your oars. The Captain wants to waterski.

The honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier change on the hour from 10/1 to 3/31 from 4/1 to 9/31 on the half hour. I would guess #41 guard is changes on the half hour.

I am on the Honor Guard at work and it's not as bad as it looks but has moments that will test you. Weather, insects, people etc. One of the things that is tough is people want to talk to you but you have to remain silent. Y ou u don't want to rude and some people mean no disrespect but they dont know any better.
