Nice. What did you catch it on? I've never had any luck catching any trout here in Texas. I've been trying for 8 years, lol.

I have caught them on Rooster Tails at LLELA but that was a few years ago. Only caught a couple but more like 16" nice ones we gave away while there. I don't care for eating trout.

Haven't seen a post yet for what I believe is the most productive rig and bait. Use a fish finder or "flounder rig" and Berkley PowerBait dough forTrout. Put a small sliding weight on your line above a small swivel. To the swivel tie about 14 inches of 4-6 lb test leader. To the end of the leader add a small hook. I use a bream-sized gold wire hook. The hook should be small enough, and the dough bait large enough to float the bait up off of the bottom. Check this out before you cast as it MUST float to be super productive. Just lay the rig in shallow water in front of you and note the bait suspends the hook and leader. This has worked well on TPWD stocked trout and larger trout in NW Arkansas, for me.
Yes, LMBs love rainbow stockings. Had a 7+lb bass take a trout that was on my stringer at Beuscher State Park and gave me a tub-of-war before he finally up-chucked it!

Thanks Butch. There's a ecosystem management and game reserve right by the plant. They release trout there too, I wonder if it's the one listed in Lewisville. Place stays pretty busy.
