An alien invasion could do it. They need to be strong enough to destroy most of our militaries, but they need a weakness the common people can take advantage of. I think if we were invaded by some bad arse aliens who could be neutralized by flashlights or water guns, then we would soon thereafter have world peace. Unless you are including aliens in the world peace.

Force disgruntled leaders to spend one full day with their opponent in a jon boat, on a well-stocked and well-secluded body of water - fishing. It must be just the two of them...no one else within x miles. They get no special provisions...basic tackle, sack lunches, small cooler of bottled waters, Gatorade or whatnot.

I just don�t think it�s possible two people to spend a day on a small boat fishing like that, and emerge with anything but a great appreciation for life. But as backup provision (for the extremely remote chance they do still want to war), they must agree that their children will be the first to be armed on sent to the front line to fight.

2. Protect our borders with whatever it takes.
3. Solve the problem of the division of the House and the Senate.
4. Tell celebrities to stick to acting and quit over reacting.

Have the entire world smoke some weed all at the same time. It won't last but people will chill the **** out for a couple hours. That's as close as we would ever get to world peace.

World peace is not an attainable goal. Successfully managing conflict is the best we can hope for.

I propose world peace via a show of overwhelming force. Not necessarily by us, but one of our allies, could bomb the hell out of a country that everyone hates, perhaps one of the whocaresistan countries. Leave a note, written in crayon, that says if another country gets out of line they will be bombed into oblivion.
The initial bombing should be live streamed via pay per view, Don King should promote the broadcast, and we could have Hulk Hogan and the ghost of macho man randy Savage do the play by play.
Then we force Kim jong un and that supreme leader guy from Iran to have a knife fight to the death (also on ppv), but we don�t tell them that the winner is executed by firing squad, blindfold, cigarette, and all.
For the countries without tv, we air drop a laptop with the footage of the bombing, along with an empty coke bottle (just because �the gods must be crazy� was a funny movie) so that they get the point.
