While at several tackle stores this past week I noticed "Tackle Vest" that you can ware and carry all your tackle. They have a lot of pockets both big and small that seal pretty good. Seems that they can hold a lot of tackle. Some vest even have pockets that are insulated where you can put ice packs in. Do any of you use these vest or other types of vest to carry your tackle while fishing? Or do any of you carry a tackle box?

I use a tackle bag with plastic box inserts. Then I carry bag, net, bucket and rods in a grocery cart. When I used to walk the bank BP(before Parkinson's) I just carried the bag and rods.

I wear a vest. I haven't fished with conventional gear in over 2 years though. The only time I would use a tackle box is if I was fishing for largemouth bass with conventional gear. Otherwise, even when I was fishing for crappie, white bass or hybrids I still only wore a vest. I can carry everything I need. I carry the puppy size roles of fishing line, fly boxes, scale, weights, stringers, marabou jigs, etc. etc. etc.

I carry a small Play Mate ice chest with Coleman Ice Cube,worms,and tackle box inside, live bucket, small camera case with two small camera's, along with two ultralight fishing poles.



Side Note: I have seen some pretty neat fishing vest and may just give them a try this upcoming year!

I ware a vest and carry a small tackle box. When fishing from my kayak everything I need is in a storage compartment.
