I know it's been comical in all of the Tech facebook groups following flight plans and stuff. The more I read on Coach Wells and his staff, the more I like them. Is it an elite hire, no. But Hocutt didn't say he was going to hire an elite coach, he said he wanted the football program to get to an elite status and be successful like the basketball and baseball programs. Yes Wells is from the MWC, but so was Gary Patterson and Urban Meyer. Maybe half the fans are just unpleasable, hand them a big 12 championship in 3-5 years and they'd still gripe. I'm excited to see what happens next year, Bowman has already committed to staying at Tech. But until next football season, it's time to get behind our basketball programs and give them all the support we can! Guns Up and Wreck Memphis!

The guy from Utah St has done a heck of a job with that team, but not sure he's a big enough name to recruit to Lubbock. Im sorry, but that made me laugh!
