I'm on an eating kick.
It usually starts the week before Thanksgiving and ends a couple weeks after Christmas.
There is not really any stopping it.

No matter what shape I'm in come the 3rd week of November, I get the Thanksgiving/Christmas spirit in me, and food follows along smiling with every nibble.

I still exercise, but of course, it's wheel spinning.

I guess I should just accept it, and not try to "guilt" myself for enjoying "taste and over-consumption."

Addendum: I'm lucky it doesn't really start a week before Halloween. October simply lays the groundwork with sugar.
Addendum II: About a month ago, maybe 5 weeks ago, I was fit. I was really trim, trimmer than I've been in quite awhile. It just takes a couple weeks of sugar and over-eating to squash it. Oh well, come January, I'll turn it around and by mid February, I'll be happy again.

...how 'bout you?

I was going really strong on the keto thing until I took the kiddies to see their nana for Thanksgiving. Mom's homemade cinnamon rolls and buttermilk pie pretty much stopped ketosis in its tracks.

I am overeating for sure. Drinking a few more brews that I would normally no beer flavored water (domestic light beer AKA beer flavored fizzy water) for me. January first I will do Keto and stop drinking brew for11.5- 2 months and drop 10-12 # and be back where I want to be.

So far doing pretty good. Just been training harder and have not gained a pound. But it is hard on my joints and body. Cannot keep it up.

It's a weird mental tick, but I'll make myself deals. If I want 1 beer, I've got to run 1 mile before it's consumed. 1 piece of pie 1 mile. Basically make yourself earn whatever it is you want to eat. (All this of course needs to be in addition to your normal daily workout). The math never works out exactly right, but it helps.

I have a harder mental time transitioning from the complacency to fervor for sweating and moving.

Sounds odd, but I like to exercise, and I feel better the more I move. However, when it's a bit colder out, I want to stay on the couch and nibble, read, watch TV and definitely play guitar/sing.

Hard workouts are truly the mental ones.

I’m screwed with weight loss during the holidays, ain’t passing up so much good grub. I’ve only gained a few lbs and I’m still exercising. At the first of the year I will start cranking it up again. I never reached my weight goal this year but gonna go after it hard and get it by April 1st. Happy Holiday eating!

I'm back on track, I'd say about 70 %.

What I mean by that is that I'm back to my physical workouts, stretching and squat thrusts, lots of them.

I'm also eating less, and doing my intermittent fasting.

Cutting out the sugar has not happened yet, but I'll taper off.
I do NOT throw out stuff I bought, unless it's gone bad.
