The crappie have started to move out of the tember and down from up north to there first stop before heading to the main lake and the river and dam areas.

Fished pines this morning. Beautiful day and ended with 10. Found them on the points by Johnson Creek area.

If plan on coming to pines this week try attractors 7,8,9,10,17 and 27, gates are close and water temp 50-53.

LOL ONLY 10 BOAT OUT TODAY. wind 15 out of the North 41 for the high, fishing was fast but catching was very very slow. It was a crappie day for sure Saturday. Pretty much rained the entire time I was there 7- 1:30 and it was a cold rain!. I only saw three other boats all day and I fished from the dam to 155 bridge. Two of us ended up with 20. Went by myself today and got a limit in half a day. Most fish were caught in 21-23'.

Whats the story out there now. Are the fish moving deep or are the on the brushpiles still? Also whats the water temperature? Thanks

Not many boats on the water these day, crappie are on brush from dam to 155 bridge and some out on river area from Johnson creek to dam in 23ft ot 30 feet. The gates are open.

Any update on LOP? Most Lakes in N Louisiana have too much water and it is still very muddy.

I was out there Monday and caught them good on brush piles between 20-25 ft. I didn't try the main river but there was at least 50 boats out there on it, so evidentially someone said they were catching them out there.

Has the government shutdown affected the ramps being open? What are the launching options out there since this is a Corp of Engineers lake?
