Spending the next three days with my teenage kids near Bayside and would appreciate any input on which areas to fish....I have a 16 foot canoe which is very stable and which I can handle capably. The temp. Is in the 50's to low 60's with winds out of the N/NE 10 to 20. We would like to catch redfish, trout, flounder , black drum and will only keep what we can eat Thursday. I have never fished the middle coast and would appreciate any input based on the described conditions...I am an experienced angler, just not this stretch of coastline. Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving to all....Bill H.

I'd launch at the bridge right there at Egery Flats. You have some good marsh all around it, and on a moving tide the channel ought to be holding some fish. And best of all, you'll have some shelter from that wind. I've never hit that spot myself, but I've looked at it a lot, and always wanted to try it.
Whatever you do, Good Luck!
