Somerville is staying between 1-2’ above normal, even letting 1500 cfs through the Dam. Weekly rains last 6 weeks has kept lake just above normal. The lake is loaded with bait fish, from three years of flooding. We fished out of Overlook Somerville Marina.
Today I had Lloyd (whom I taught in the 7th grade) and his cousim Dane, Fishing on a gift certificate that his company gave him for retirement. Temps started out 45 degrees with 5 mph se winds. The bite has been very light, barely taking the cork under, and continued today.
Dane set a new record on my boat today. He landed 9 Buffalo Fish while catfishing. They ended the morning with 28 cats That filled the cooler. Largest was 7#, along with a 6.8# and 6.6# cat Filled 3 1/2 ful gallon bags of fillets.
Fish were caught 6-8’ water, under corks, on CJs crawdad punch Bait.
