... A GOOD ONE! Took friends ChampionFish and veteran Leanahorse on the blue wave's first fishing trip from 830am to 5pm. Morning was very slow as we hit several shallow spots throwing sassy and ARigs and nada. I blame that on the strong new boat smell LOL. But in the afternoon it was game on!.... BLOOD AND SLIME christianed da new boat! New boat smell GONE! LOL. We fished wind blow points in 12 to 20ft spotlocked and drifted and boated many good healthy winter fish up to 12lb by Champ!  ARig Gene was throwing mostly ARig and the big fish prefer and inhaled it! Water temp was 54f in the morning and warned up to 58f in the afternoon. Blue bird skies. Wind SSW 8mph. Some pics... Gene took the week off for funeral plannings and buried his MIL Thursday morning. Thanks guys! Good question. As for deadstick, mother nature throws another curve ball. Prime DS water temp in the 50s, got socks and flukes ready. But fish not responding much from thumping....yet! I am thinking it's early Nov the deep earth/ground is still warm and not gradually cold yet like in December. My best guess cuz fish are still in the shallow and aggressive bites. Did caught a few on mepps and slabs but never graphed a big concentration of fish on my megs SI, only roaming fish. So long castings and drifts were the options and that paid off
