How will the late fall/winter bite be? How will all of the past flooding play a factor in the upcoming bite and patterns?

Really having to work hard this fall finding some nice fish. The heavy rains and past flooding have played a negative factor. The winter plan is simple. Fish deeper water with a very slow retrieve. Brush piles and docks in 15 to 20 feet of water. Also look for edges and drop offs in that same depth. thumb For fishing the creeks find the deeper pockets of water. Look for brush piles, grass beds, and drop offs. Slow bottom retrieve with a night crawler. Take advantage of the warm spells especially fishing a pond or small lake. Currents will be strong in a lot of water bodies that had been at flood stage or above. This will play a negative factor in those water bodies. eeks

Side Note: Hopefully there will no more flooding for awhile! Water bodies are full and there is still a lot of run off water going into lakes, rivers, and creeks. Any more flooding would make it one very difficult winter and spring to fish. taz Just my two cents. 2cents

Fish will be even harder to find after this front arrives. Will start fishing deeper water this week! Was looking forward to the late fall/winter bite but due to the past flooding it will make fishing more difficult and the fish harder to find! Just my two cents. hammer
