I just got my new cane walker last week and was ready for some topwater action. bang
Oh well, still gonna go Friday and give it a shot, maybe the smallmouth won't mind the cold water as much.

Just have to fish slower...I have caught them on a popping frog with snow on the ground!

I'm talking 30 second pauses fished super tight to cover-the wind was howling too!
