Spent the weekend camping at BS state park and did some fishing while there. I did well in the summer targeting whites and crappie. I dont fish this lake much at all but found some great fish and just want to pass along what I found since I wont be out there until, maybe, July of next year. I was scanning a good looking underwater point/hump for white bass. Saw a ton of bait on the graph and put the spot lock on and turned on the thumper in hope for white bass. Turns out schools of large mouth and spots I believe were roaming through. We probably caught 15 or so decent black bass on a slab with a fluke tied above it since we were targeting whites in the span of 15 minutes. Just crazy never caught blacks in packs like that before. Of course I have picked up a stray black bass here and there on Hubbard or tawakoni where I normally fish. Hope this spot helps any who plan to fish bob sandlin soon. Pics and video to come.

Where did u find them really good at if ya dont mind me asking. Ill be camping around the same time next year and will make a note of if.
Also for u bass guys, I would think a c rig or a jig worked down that slope from 25 fow to 33 fow would be pretty deadly. I had lots of good marks while scanning up and down that slope...

Its a rubber mallet inside an ammo box connected to a variable speed motor. The hammer pounds the bottom of the boat and keeps the white bass under your boat. Typically used during the winter when the water temp falls to 60 and below. Deadsticking season.....

Yep! I use to use the tiny paddle that came with my boat to thump until I built one very similar to that. Funny story..... was wearing a Fitbit on my wrist while out fishing and manually thumping one afternoon on the weekend..... after my trip I had over 20,000 steps!!!!! I was sitting the whole time. Got my steps in that day
