I already have a guide set up. I have never used a guide service before or fished for trout. I'm looking forward to it.

Jordan with Rouse fly fishing guided me on the Little Red today. I had a great time and caught about 20 trout, three different species.

The McConaughy Rainbow Trout on the river are some very pretty fish. This one is a hatchery raised one, released as a fingerling. Those born wild are a little darker. This one gave some good runs and a jump.

But the native browns gave a better fight and made the trip worth it.

Fished the Little Red way back in 2000 on a vacation from South Africa. Cought a couple of small trout but a local came on stream and started nailing them. Gave me a size 20 Bivisible which were producing.
Nice report Mitt.

I got most of them on a tungsten-headed Pheasant Tail jig but the water picked up so we switched to an egg pattern below a big spit shot and thats when I got the big brown.
