During late fall and winter I have caught some very nice Redear and Bluegill from the River Lakes. Dunlap and Mcqueeney. Side Note: The major flooding that has occurred will play a huge negative factor with the late fall/winter bite!
IGFA World Record Rio Grande Cichlid. Lake Dunlap. John 3:16 Sinner's Prayer. God forgive me a sinner. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior !

I love to fish the Sabine River in late fall and winter for the largest, most aggressive white bass in Texas. I will also hit the Trinity river and tributaries for some big fat tasty crappie. Other times its BIG bass time in the ponds.

I like to fish the rivers or creeks in the colder months because the patterns are more easily defined and the water can be easier to read than lakes. From there, its just about getting the right presentation in front of them.
