Why would I want to spend that kind of money on a show that I cannot watch. When you moved you priced me out of watching one of my favorite shows. I am thinking that your move was not as good as you though it would be and now you are trying to raise some funds to make up the difference.

Just to let you know I loved your show before you changed and saved everyone of them for information on lakes and techniques. But to pay extra on my cable was not worth it to me.

They know they are not worth pay per view and can not make it solely on it, so they obviously have to change it up.

This thread has become a whinefest. It started with an upbeat headsup about a cool opportunity and devolved into whining about HH's new format. Some people just have a hard time accepting and/or adjusting to change.

I fished with Bill today as I took advantage of this same offer that Mark posted at the end of last year for the 2018 season. For me, it was a great experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. Being out with Bill and Dirk is like fishing with good friends. Lots of fun stories, an opportunity to learn, and the chance to support my favorite show. An added bonus is seeing the effort it takes to film a show.

For the people that talk about VOD, I've said it on here before but I've always thought of it as a great idea. I don't mind paying for it because I have access whenever I want to watch the show. There are also some added benefits of extra footage and tips. I understand not everyone agrees but it is inexpensive for what you get.

Thanks Mark for thinking outside of the box and offering the options of fishing with Bill and VOD. If you aren't constantly changing you'll be left behind.

Thank you sir. This is why we do what we do.

Dear Spacejunkie, MinnerBucket and 5Redman...

Let me address this one last time like I have since 2013 on this forum over a hundred times. For you cats who are trying to outthink this. Here goes.

#1 When we bought HH it was upside down. Had it not been for the efforts of Randall Boyd, you'd have no show to watch anywhere. End of story. He gets the credit.
#2 Our number one goal was simply to get the show up to date and in the black and we've done that every year since we've owned the show. You're aware that's what running a business is about right?
#3 We've continued to push the show forward and provide multiple platforms and options to view the show. This included adding some incremental revenue through a VOD platform and that's exactly what we've done. We will continue to change and evolve. Period.
#4 We aren't concerned about those who don't want to pay for VOD or don't want to pay to be on a show. We are ONLY concerned with providing a solid product and experience for those that DO pay for it. The useless comments from the peanut gallery are just that.
#5 We've always been transparent that sponsorship plays a major role in getting the show on TV. For 2019, we are fortunate that we've retained our core sponsors, as well as, created a couple of new relationships that will allow us to also provide a free viewing opportunity. As long as that remains in tact, you'll have a free option. If it doesn't, you won't. Simple deal.

Finally, with regard to the paid guest options. We've been asked countless times over the years to provide a guest opportunity and we feel we've found a way to do that at a price point that's fair and allows us to generate some much needed revenue to cover Bill's travel costs, etc. Again, we are testing and seeing what works. If we sell them all, like we did last year, then there's market for it, so all the negative comments about it are worthless and other than me addressing them here, ignored completely.

This deal is real simple, if you enjoy the show and find value in it, then grab you a VOD subscription and we will do all we can to make you happy and provide great content. If you can't afford it or simply don't see the value, that's fair too and we're good. We will have a free option next fall for those fans who want to watch and can't/won't pay.

You can make this about me all you want but the truth is we (mostly Bill and Dirk) are simply working hard to find a way to "profitably" keep the content out there and available for the show fans. You guys who think you're sniffing something out like McGruff the Crime Dog are amusing.

Paying to be in a show is normal. The place I work films a tv show weekly. Our customers cars are not built for free. On the contrary, they actually pay a little more than normal to have their cars featured on the show.

Its business.

I like the Honey Hole episodes that Ive watched. Albiet, that has only been a few.

I wish you guys the best of luck. If theres anything I can do to help, let me know.

I agree, that's why I thought it went under.

Do people pay to do it with you? No need to answer.

Really enjoy the show, paid, free, whatever. Puts on good content and is fun to watch. Look forward to it coming back to tv in the future.
