Any DC electrical gurus here can point me in the right direction? 2011 ZX 225 Auto float switch won’t kick the overflow bilge on, but that pump can be turned on manually on the dash switch. Have pulled the charger to get full access to both bilge pumps. Can hear the float switch click when engaged. Cut the wires and have resistance when float is engaged so the float switch is good. But when I touch the wires I just cut (from the loom) the bilge pump should run, closing the loop, correct? It doesn’t. So it has to be somewhere between the float switch and the bilge pump if I’m thinking this through.
Is there a fuse somewhere cause I don’t see one.
I’m soaking the float switch in dawn and water overnight and will waterproof connect it back in the morning.
My next effort will be to open up the loom and find where the float switch connects to the bilge “loop” unless someone has some better advice. Maybe that connection has gone bad.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you’re on the right track. Get a schematic of the boat wiring and find out where they go.
Cast I have a short attention spa

Do you have 12vdc on the wire (at the pump) from the auto side of the bilge switch? The wiring should be something like this
