I arrived on the water at 2:30 pm.
Water was stained pretty good, visibility was about 18 to 24 inches.
Water temperature was 75 to 79 degrees depending on which part of lake I was on.
Caught fifteen on T/R plastic in 12 to 14 FOW.
Caught two with a top water popper.
Off the water at 6 pm.

I got bit on my first six casts, but only landed four of them, missed the other two. What a way to start off a fishing trip. Long story short, ended my day with seventeen fish in all, most of them were between two and three pounds. If I did catch one over three then it would have been right there close to the three pound mark for sure. I did throw shallow crank bait a few times with no luck, plus I threw a C/R several times with no luck, so I pretty much stayed with the light weight T/R because they wanted that slow drop. I wouldn’t consider this as a great day myself, but after reading some post from the past month, I would say it was an ok day. I had a great time, it felt good to get on the water and get my rod bent.
