These past several weeks have been a challenge. Had to make some adjustments and do a lot of searching to find some nice fish. The work has paid off! Been catching some nice Redear,Redbreast, Bluegill, and even some Rios. Rounding out the catches were several nice bass in the 2 to 3 pound range and some Longear. Been fishing several hill country, and central Texas creeks. The water has been stained on some creeks and clear on others. Currents are good and all of the creeks are full due to past rains. Fish have moved to the deeper pockets of the creeks with the Rios holding close to brush piles. Fish are being caught on worms with a very slow bottom retrieve. Rick aka Catyakker has also been catching some very nice creek fish as well. He has been catching some super nice Bluegill,Rios,and Channel Cats. Rick is using worms with a drop shot technique. All fish were released. Catching some fall creek fish. It just don't get any better!

Glad y'all are finding a few fish. Persistence paid off.

I'm ready for the crappie and white bass to start moving up into the creeks.

I'll keep you posted. It will be a couple more months before the white bass get going. The crappie should start any day though.

Thanks Andrew and Leo for the replies. Andrew: The flooding that had accrued on the Nueces,W.Nueces,and Frio rivers flooded out all my canyon spots. Best we can hope for is a GREAT spring.
