My two Elite Ti's stopped "communicating" with each other. I've checked the fuse feeding power to my NMEA 2000 system and tried a third Ti Unit, but still nothing. Can a NMEA system go bad?

Just finished installing and configuring my NMEA 2K network: twin LCX units, Point 1, and independent fusable power.

Not familiar with the Elites - what models? Anything change in your configuration (hardware or software)? Disconnect, examine, and reconnect all NMEA components (both resistors, all T's, GPS, power and drop cables). Is Waypoint Sharing feature enabled? Have you connected the GPS antenna to each unit independently with a drop cable and confirm expected behavior?

Is the power node powered by (connected to) a switch or maybe another wire that is fused that you're overlooking.

Check your network on one of your graphs and look at the device lists. If they aren't showing up there there is a chance that one of your drop cables has a short in it. I've replaced a few of those over the years. Also, make sure that the end of your network has the appropriate end cap on it or it will not work correctly.

I had an issue where my console unit did not see the temp gauge or the GPS. Turned out the fuse assembly had acquired some rust and was not making good contact. Once I cleaned everything, was able to see both devices. I would check the fuses as a starter.

I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to respond to my issue. I installed a new NMEA 2000 starter kit today and everything works once again. I don't know what portion of the old NMEA 2000 was bad, but I suspect the problem was in the power cable.
