What ramp is the best to launch from when coming from the west (Waco area) ??
Looks like alot of submerged timber according to Navionics.
Is there any kind of grass, hydrilla etc ??
This is also a good lake to Knock your lower unit off on.

Tried to go up north last year at tuffman, used paddles to pry boat off stumps more then we fished. Be very careful if you are not familiar with the lake! Lots of old threads on here about old stump humpin limestone.

Well this is true. The rebar markers were bad out there too, put a scratch in my first glass boat on one years ago that almost make me puke Apparently there was a game warden who lived up Dooley that didn't like people fishing around his dock.

Headed to limestone for the first time this Friday. Anyone got any tips on running it? Ill be putting in at county ramp #2. Just want to make sure its not like Palestine where you dont dare run the center of the lake. Im really not looking to replace another lower unit this year.

If u have a navionics chip it shows the stumps pretty good. It does have stumps everywhere though and can get difficult to run

You are fine to run the middle of the lake south of the bridge to the dam. Most areas where there are stumps you will see standing timber.

From co. ramp #2 to halfway down to the power lines there are some big trees running the center, I found one
