With the river lakes still flowing strong I decided to fish a local creek. The bite was slow and the banks were extremely muddy and slippery. Water was stained with a strong flow. Fished a lot of back current. Was able to catch three small Rios in the eight inch range, four small bass in the 12 to 13 inch range, five Bluegill in the 7 to 8 inch range and one small Green in the 5 inch range rounded out the catch. Fished from 9am till 2pm. Fish were hanging close to brush piles across opposite sides. Little George Lures,Chartreuse/Black got the best results. Hopefully the river lakes and some of the other surrounding water bodies clear up. Ran into a couple of other anglers who stated that fishing has been slow since this latest rainfall. Always enjoy fishing even if it is slow on some days! woot

Nice report Curtis...glad you managed a few ..... I had plans to fish some logjams on the Colorado but I checked the gauge online and it was at 27' 2miles down river from the area I was planning on heading to...normal depth at that gauge is between 9-11' ...boooo... we needed the rain don't get me wrong but I needed them slabs....thinking about hitting the San Marcos passed over it today and it was up there but wasn't to dangerous for my kayak time to break out the cat and carp gear and get after them with both hands whipwhipwhip
