I have a 2011 Tahoe with a 5.0 merc. The block is cracked (I know, my fault) due to the cold Winter. I need to have it replaced. Whittle Boats said Merc stopped manufacturing 5.0, I would need to go to a 5.7 at the cost of $12k. Is there any boat mechanics in the DFW area that can give me better news? I am ready to have it replaced (saved my cash up) but got the news today about the 5.7 swap.

I can get you a 5.0 long block and put all you stuff on new long block. Are your Manifold cracked

We use the Jasper Engines which come with a two year warranty. Call Haydon if you want to schedule it. 972-771-4442
The price is a lot cheaper than Mercruiser OEM but just as good!

Your boat is very fixable and definitely not at the 12K price.
