Good morning. This past weekend, I lost my foldable seat (the one on the back deck)on my Skeeter Fx20, while running the boat. It was mounted on the floor, without the pedestal. As you may know, these OEM seats are really expensive! Does anybody know of a way to secure these seats so that they don't fly away? Is there a way to maybe put a safety pin, once the seat mount is inserted to the hole in the boat deck? Or, is there a seat mount that has a more secure short pin that will not allow to come out of the hole on the deck?
Any suggestions, are appreciated!
Thanks,

It doesnt screw in? My skeeter, the base screws in and there is a nut with a knob on it for the seat base. Tighten each, and it has not flown off in 15 years.

And put it where? on the floor of the boat while we're running it? I don't think that will work. Now, I can obviously leave it in my truck, but then we can't use it on the boat...lol!

Take a look at seat pedestals from Springfield or Atwoods. My Swivel Eze pedestals have it both ways with and without threads.

I have the same problem with my Phoenix. The post snaps in, the seat does not. I pulled it out of the splash well once when I had it down on the deck.
