I think the Classic Bracket is only for bubble guys trying to fish their way into the classic. There are only 15 guys fishing this event.

I'm confused, how is the 16 bracket supposed to work, its a 4 day tourney, but instead of cutting to 8 tomorrow they are cutting to 12? Did Hackney not showing force them to change the rules during the game?

Yeah 3 guys make the classic, 12 cuts to 6 wednesday, thursday 6 cuts to 3 that make the classic. What are they doing friday, is it a 3 man tournament for cash? All seems a bit convoluted to me.

The 'round of 12' brackets last Wednesday and Thursday with 6 anglers going out in the morning and 6 anglers going out in the afternoon. If you fished in the morning Wednesday, you fish in the afternoon Thursday. Then, the last 3 'matches' are Friday to determine the 3 winners.

Heres a random question since there is some trail talk about to start up. MLF is great for TV, but how many of you think youll be running to the store to drop a bunch of money on lures that catch a bunch of small fish? I just dont see how this is going get serious fisherman excited about heading out to the lake or breaking out their wallets. I know Bassmaster has less video, but isnt there a fair amount suspense in guys swinging for the fence on the final day of a tournament. Like Jordan Lee on the final day of Conroe. I think youll see days like these get over shadowed by someone catching a bunch of 12 fish on dropshots and Ned rigs. I guess things may morph into something different and you have a lot of options when you have all of the big guns, but I dont see the MLF format in its current state holding up long-term. Theres my .02, that and a buck will get you a cup of coffee at the Valero station down the street.

Bassfan reported Hackney said he had obligations to take care of. Wow gave up trying to qualify for the classic.

Im with Jobie on this. Big fish is what makes tourney fishing interesting. I have no interest in watching little fish contests.

I've seen them catch big fish on big fish lakes. Like when they were in Texas. I've seen them catch small ones also. They show them catching all fish not just big ones. J lee caught big fish on a Texas lake where there were big fish. They are always s looking for big fish edit especially if they know they are on the bottom of the board and they will know it cause of the score tracker. They show all fish being caught, unlike bass master only showing certain guys catch big ones. I don't get the complaint. I like the fact they get on a lake in the morning not knowing what to do till they get there to figure it out, not knowing what to do days ago in advance

It wasnt a complaint, it was my $.02. I like the figure em out on the water part, but I think most folks will lay up and take the easy fish and go for paychecks

Watch MLF at Naconiche.... Lots of good fish caught. I think it's a better representation of what fishing is. I've been blessed to have caught some nice fish but I've caught way more small fish. Not knowing what lake they are going to or having spots given to them by local guides prior to getting there is a bonus for me watching them try to figure it out.

I hope not. If they are far behind I hope they for big ones, it might be their only shot. I'll be watching either way. It's just fun to watch.
