slow leak down
no oil leaks that I can see
Any ideas

There is a service bulletin on this problem Replacement of poppet check valves need to be replaced. Take it to your Mercury dealer and they should repair it under warranty if it leaks down 2.5 inches or more within a 24 hr period. Less than 2.5 inches in 24 hrs is within specs...... SB 2017-12.......OPTI

Good info. I would check the tightness of my manual release screw also and make sure it hadn't loosened any due to vibration.
