I haven't used lures under a float for some time so since the panfish bite was on I figured why not try some.
Water temp has dropped to 50 from 62 in a week and I always wonder how it will affect the bite. The bite was great!


The cone-tail was a design I came up with years ago and has been one of my best.The stick tail which I came up with recently also did well under the float when rigged on a 1/32 oz jighead.


The two on the bottom did well under the float:


Note: the clear mini-stick also caught fish.

For the heck of it I cast a Beetle Spin with small plastic and jighead and caught crappie:
