Well...I think u know my answer...Hands down, Fayette. You can catch some BIG red ear on Dunlap, but it's just not as consistent...mostly late fall & it really varies year to year.

I would have to say Dunlap only because I fish it the most and have caught some HUGE sunnies off of that lake over the years! Still catching some super nice fish there!

I know there are some super well known sunfish lakes such as Conroe and Athens. But keeping this to water bodies where I have fished,I would have to say Dunlap,Mcqueeney,and Lady Bird Lake-Austin. I did pretty good on these three water bodies all year long.

Do not target the sunnies but for what I know about the sunnies by reading all of the post over the years I would say Athens,Dunlap,and Lady Bird Lake. Just my two cents.
