The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our tenth monthly meeting of 2018 this Thursday night, October 11th starting at 7:00PM. We meet at Bass Pro Shops in Garland on the restaurant patio downstairs. We are taking memberships for 2018. Since we are past the point of the year when you can qualify for the Club Championship, membership cost will be cut 50% to $15.00. David will be there taking money as usual, along with Brad and Brian helping with all the paper work. Membership is for the calendar year and includes your entire immediate family.If you are a new member, we will need you to fill out an information sheet for the Club roster. All members new or otherwise, please make sure you find and autograph the Sign In Sheet. Meetings are worth 10 AOY points!

Topics include results from last month on Lake Ray Hubbard. Fishing was good for a lot of teams and there were some big sacks weighed in. If you were one of the teams that finished high, we'll need you to tell us about your day. We will talk about our tournament coming up next Saturday October 13th at Lake Tawakoni. We will be doing registration and weigh in out of Sky Point Park although that may change. Tournament hours are 7:05 (first light) to 3:00PM. Once registered, you have to get your live well checked. Full tournament details can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. We will do Partner Finder and try and make sure everyone will have a partner that wants to fish. We will choose finish times for our Club Championship on November 10-11 on Lake O' The Pines. First cast will be at 6:30AM both days.

We will talk about the cancellation of this years Paralyzed Veterans Tournament. If you planned on working this for your community event, you are down to captaining for the high schools or Fish For A Cure. Fish For A Cure will be on SUNDAY October 28th! There will be two entries raffled off (tickets are $10.00) and also free Club entry fees for 2019 to one lucky team. Tickets for this cost $60.00 (the cost of one tournament entry) Only one ticket per team. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the American Cancer Society for Fish For A Cure. We will have American Cancer Society representative Adriana Perez there to tell us what the proceeds from this great event do for cancer patients and their families.
