Red Maples

I've had one here for ~ 15 years . The leaves do that during the hotter summers so I'm thinking it's not a disease issue .

It's never turned that deep red color in fall ; more of an orange . It's a good tree (cardinals love the seeds) but it's probably more suited to areas that have actual seasons .

Have a pic of the base of how it's planted. A lot of tree issues start with them being planted too deep. You want to make sure the root flare is exposed. That's probably not the issue with them being that small, but it's not out of the question. And if they are planted too deep now is a good time to help fix that issue with their smaller size.

Looks like a silver maple to me. Brown leaf tips are sign of too much water or bad drainage. Also a poor choice of tree. They grow fast then get knocked down by storms

Nope . Look at the leaves .

Silver Maple .

Guessing that you're referring to the tree usually called silver maple here in ETex . Green leaves (shaped like the Red's) which have a whitish/silver underside . Leaves turn yellow in fall . It has a light (white/silver) bark and spreads from the roots . It's not a true Maple , it's actually a poplar .
