I had to take a poly three times before I passed it a couple years ago, i did not give a carp about the money, all I wanted was the plaque, he never told me why i had to take it three times.

Ive heard one side. Ill hold judgement until I hear the other side. Im not going to cross Media off the list. I think they did what any other trail would do. If you fail, you walk empty handed. It may suck and it may cast an angler(s) in a bad light. Right or wrong, its the industry standard, its not like Media is only trail doing it. Without evidence a witness or a complaint shouldnt really matter. The rule is, you have to pass. I hope that it gets worked out.

I had to take a polygraph one time in the big bass splash at Rayburn. I was terrified about it even though I knew I had done everything I could to be sure that I hadnt broken any rules. It was the first time I had ever taken one and I was worried I would fail it because I was so nervous about it but I passed.

I am shocked that Media actually gave a poly , I fished with them a few years , made several checks , never saw one poly , even in the championship , we didn't make a check , but I asked a few that did , one team got 3rd , no poly for them or 2 other teams in the top 10 . I have fished tournaments 30 years now , took a few polys , and passed , that being said . The poly is designed too keep the cheaters out , not catch them !!! another black eye for media , hope the checks clear !

Wow. Another way for this trail not to pay.

Basically every single tournament rule sheet reads that the tournament director has full discretion on how to proceed if there is a failed PG test. If you forget to wear your life jacket or forget to clip your killswitch, technically these are DQable offenses, but a TD can waive a DQ for something so minor. They can certainly waive it if there is no proof of an infraction and they just had a blip on a PG test that read a raised heart beat.

I got paid, as well as every other team. Not sure what you are referencing? Media North East made good on the bad TD whose checks bounced.

I can't believe polygraphs are ever used for anything. At all. As useful as a Scientology E-Meter as far as I'm concerned. 50 years from now people will laugh that polygraphs were commonplace.

A few thoughts.

Is this like the Kavanaugh hearings deja vu, where a man is guilty until proven innocent?

Most locals who consistently win $ on their home lakes are constantly accused of 'cheating'.

Mr. Flounroy, how many times (if any) have you been accused of breaking rules in a competitive bass tournament for $?

How many times (if any) have you previously been DQ'd from a competitive bass tournament for $?

DQ's and challenges from the Tuesday nighters to the Bassmaster Classic?

I applaud your candor, sir.

Wow more Media bashing. You guys that are bashing are incredible.
If Media would have went ahead and paid a contestant that failed a polygraph you guys would bash them for that. Those guys cant catch a break.

Dont blame Media Bass for doing what the thought was right for all the anglers.
Blame the Russian.
