I have got old and can not chase fish from a boat anymore. Any info would be welcome. I do not want your honeyhole. Just places I can reach with out to much effort.

Aubrey, if you get an invitation to go carp and buffalo fishing with Curt, jump on it. He is a great guy and will give you a lot of info on area lakes.

1000% this. When I read mineola curt was the first name I thought of. He sold me my first carp fishing kit and taught me a lot in just a couple of trips. Nowadays I�m kicking myself for selling that gear. I want to get back into carp fishing, but now I don�t want to rebuy gear.

I haven't bank fished a lot in East Texas but that'll be changing fairly soon. I went to Lake Athens not too long ago, there's just one public area which is a marina and you can fish practically from your car. Didn't do too hot and only got a massive turtle for 16 hours of fishing but it was gorgeous! I'll definitely be back.

Any help with places to fish? I do not think many people in my area fish for carp?
