For those of you who are truly interested in knowing some facts you can read James’ post on his website from today. Hopefully those of you traveling down there to have an enjoyable fishing trip will take it a little more serious than some of the people on this thread. Be safe and stay alert at all times down there.

I was hoping James would write something about it. He's always straight forward and no BS. Sounds like at least part of the OP was correct. I couldn't imagine the pucker factor when you out fishing and someone starts slinging lead.

James has commented on his web site that he has no confirmed knowledge of this. I am aware the area of the lake has attracted attention at times.

James (and Tom) r a gift from above for all fishermen. Especially those who fish Falcon. No BS shirt-off-their backs family. Pay attention to what James says. It may just save your arse. Fish our side, for now, and you're golden. Fork's 27,000 ac. Half of Falcon at this level is 20k+/- with a fraction of the traffic. If I had a trip planned, none of this would delay my going. If anything, I'd be excited to have a little more water to myself.

Hmmm what I read was he has a first hand account from a very reliable source that describes them being shot at by Mexican fishing boats...good enough to stay away for me. From the Mexican side that is.

I've never been to Falcon or even Amistad, so I have no experience down there.

But my initial thought is, you couldn't pay me anything to even thing about crossing into the Mexico side..... I plan to make a trip to Amistad maybe in a few months, but crossing into Mexico, hell no.. I'll stay where I KNOW it's safe in the USA. I go fishing to have fun, not to worry about a bunch of wet backs shooting at me......

Lol, you have a better chance of being killed in your home town than at Falcon or Amistad.

Lol.. Again I've never been to either, but I have been to the border, and I have been to Mexico.. No thanks..... Plenty of bass on the US side

I’m more afraid of going to an American shopping mall, school, church or movie theater where some skinny legged, suburban, disenfranchised, white boy who wasn’t held enough as a baby starts greasing people than I am going to Mexico
