I would like to find something I can mount to my gear track that I could screw or epoxy a cam cleat on top of for my anchor line. Was thinking the Scotty #438 Gear Head Track Adapter might be an option if I epoxy or use weldbond to put a dowel in the top. Sawing an 1 1/2 inch ball in half was another thought. Any ideas?

Idea is the same but I want to use a cam cleat, like in this link: https://www.westmarine.com/buy/ronstan--small-c-cleat-gray--544916?recordNum=5Need something that will mount to the track that I can screw/epoxy my cam cleat to. Also, this will require more than just the bolt with head that fits into track, needs to be something flat on top so I can attach the cleat to it.

Build one. I wouldn't trust epoxy. http://www.snaggedline.com/showthread.php?18332-Gear-Track-Cam-Cleat-mod-(anchor-trolley) A piece of plastic, your cam cleat, some T-nuts. Or buy this: http://www.quick-cleat.com/kayak-cleat-for-1-4-lines-2Is there something special about a cam cleat you desire?

Cam cleats are quick to put line in(Lay line on top and pull line back till tight), and release(just pull line up). They also hold really well. Can also pull line in without having to do anything with cleat and when let go, held in place. Better than clam cleat in that can be used for varying size line. These are the types of cleats used for lines on sailboats where you need to quickly adjust, release and put in cleat. They work great. If I have more force on my anchor line than on main/jib sheets on a very windy day, I should not be out kayaking anyway.
Using 2 T-Nuts and something for base is a good idea and that solves preventing from rotating and ensuring when mounted to track cleat is in correct orientation. Will see what I have around the house to put something together with.

I use a mini zigzag cleat, fast, easy, and very low profile.

Not quite as easy as cam cleat but much easier than regular cleat and a little lower profile. I have a new kayak with lots of track on it and do not want to do any physical mods to my kayak for a while. In this case, Zigzag cleat would still have same issue mounting to track. I believe first mod will be lever lock anchor trolley. Then after getting used to trolley reevaluate what I want to do for anchor line cleat.
