Hard to tell with the angle & blurred photo, but perhaps a green sunfish?

Hard to tell with the angle & blurred photo, but perhaps a green sunfish? Thanks! I think you are correct. It was caught at night and the yellowish on the fins was more white. Fat belly and rich green color like a tank bass.

Green Sunfish for sure. Best way to tell any species is to know the identifiers. For a Greenie, it'll be large mouth, blue rays on the face, orange/white on the edges of the opercular flap as well as the edges of the fins. Sunfish can also hybridize so it can get a little difficult, but if you know the identifiers for the other species as well you can even tell what hybrids are composed of!

Green Sunfish for sure. Best way to tell any species is to know the identifiers. I remember catching my first green sun fish and thinking it was a lm bass/sunfish hybrid due to how big the mouth was. "I just caught a sunbass!" lol...
