Use the method shown in the photo and put another anchor out the stern.  And sway like crazy.... that’s the “V” Tom is saying to avoid. You want to be in a T, much less sway.

Use the method shown in the photo and put another anchor out the stern. And sway like crazy.... that’s the “V” Tom is saying to avoid. You want to be in a T, much less sway. He's also saying to use a 3rd anchor off the back. Seems more troublesome to me than just setting the T, and I wouldn't want to carry 3 anchors, or pull them all up.

I guess reading isn't your strong suit. Didn't you see where I said to put another anchor out the stern? This is one of the methods the USN uses for holding boats in the roughest waters and it works very well. 3 anchors can be a pain but the boat will be very steady in just about any conditions.

Works great on large boats with a windlass to pull anchors but a lot of trouble for just anchoring a small boat.
It takes some practice to use the t method but is great especially in water over thirty ft. The rougher the water, the more stable it becomes.

Can read fine.... A “V” even with an extra anchor out the stern isn’t going to hold like the T will, you will sway like crazy. Plus you’re pulling 3 anchors, instead of 2.
