Anybody have an update on when they are gonna start working again went to look a month ago and still nothing done but the bottom of the ramp being torn out and a shelf cut in the hill Would I get in trouble if I launched anyway I saw a spot that would work.

Depends if you get caught. Not sure if its completely off limits. I see kayakers putting in over there from time to time.

Haven't they been dragging their feet on this for a long long time?

The part of the entire process that made the least amount of sense was when they closed the ramp months before having an exact plan much less a starting date. hmmm

Update from city of Alvarado (12 DEC 2018)

Progress is well underway. The new ramp has been poured and some of the flatwork done. Parking lot, restrooms, lighting and some other things remain. I would hope we will be ready to open by early spring!!

There's a place just down the road that has a kayaks for rent sign. Don't know anything about it though.
