I have watched most of his videos on YouTube. I was looking for deep water fishing videos when I came across his channel. If you watch, you need to go in order as he refers back to previous videos several times. He does tell some pretty good stories though. Never heard of him before either.

Not all fish go deep. We have caught many over 10 lbs in less than 4 ft all year and yes even in the heat of the summer when it has been over 100 degrees.

So I disagree with quit beating the banks. Always bluegill/crawfish shallow so big bass will go get them some when they need it.

I do like deep structure fishing when some fish bunch up on it, but you need to be able to fish shallow/deep at anytime. IMO

I have watched them all and if anyone is new to fishing, then I would highly recommend watching the videos.
No offense taken, just curious what others thought. I believe Don or anyone that knows anything about locating and catching fish would agree with Marc, that we need to be able to fish shallow and deep. Big fish/fish can be caught in both shallow and deep water. I think this next series of videos will be very helpful regarding mapping and interpretation. I was interested in the trolling since it doesnt require casting and it can catch a lot of fish. it would be good to do with small kids and wife. Thank you all for responding.

I couldn't help but notice that you've been making the same posts about this guy since May. What's the motivation here?

When I first started bass fishing back in the late sixties and early seventies, all I did was beat the banks fishing from a jon boat and in an aluminum 14 footer.
I did alright, but until I learned to structure fish in the deeper water was when I became a consistent fisherman.
Nothing wrong with beating the bank, but you need to know how to fish the offshore structure as well, like mentioned in the video.

Just one more cast!

He put on many clinics in late 70s 80s and 90s. I assume the guys who were there and still fishing would be in their 60s or older. He did one on tawakoni in late 70s in summer with 100 guys and caught bass for two weeks everyday on one spot and would have had 20lbs or better l, best 5, each time from the sounds of it. Ill consider a bet for $5,000.00 no one on here can take me Fishing for largemouth bass in Texas on a public reservoir fishing sunrise to 11 AM everyday for two weeks and put 18lbs or more, best five in the boat. Weighed on certified scale.they can catch them and I will watch. In the middle of summer for sight fisherman in spring. Here is the video. This is not a contract in any way possible and subject to change at my discretion at anytime
