Hey guys. I high centered my boat in some shallow sand yesterday coming into the boat launch. After I raised the engine and floated off the sand, that the weep hole quit spurting water. So I, loaded the boat on the trailer and went home. Then I blew air through the weep hole, and after puddling some water on the floor, it blows free...upon blowing air through it, it never seemed to be stopped up...any suggestions on what I need to check, test, and or repair? Any thoughts will be most appreciated!

You'll need to put a motor flusher on it and fire it up to see if water is circulating through the motor.

If you have a flush port where you can screw in a water hose, then flush it that way, use some line trimmer line or something similiar and run it into the weep hole.

I would avoid compressed air, that's just me, I have seen it done, I just believe it packs debris and forces into tight spots, water agitates, loosens and carries debris.

This video explains it:

If the above works, remember that you had a lot of sand in the water pick up, this may have reduced impeller life. If it were me I would do an inspect of the water pick system, it doesn't take much time and worth the effort, especially if it's close to replacing the impellar as maintence anyways.

If the above doesn't work, I work suspect the impellar.

Got it...thanks! Hooked up the muffs, ran the trimmer string down to the impeller housing...poked out a bit of trash or a pebble down there...fired it up and it was weeping a strong stream as a Basically new impeller should! Problem solved.

FYI, I was concerned the impeller might have gotten stopped up with silt, or worse yet shredded, in the process of mucking up.
