Have some days off coming up in early October, and considering a lake house rental on Hamilton. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on striper fishing the lake this time of year? Would be nice of there was an artificial bite I could take advantage of, instead of having to spend time trying to find and catch bait.

Thanks

You could always stay on Lake Hamilton and fish Ouachita. Also, Look at Blue Mountain Harbor Resort on Ouachita. If it's in your price range, you'd have more luck in my opinion.

Looking like this could turn into an extended family trip, so I’ll have to take what I get with Hamilton. Would love to go to Ouchita, just not gonna happen this go-round.

In that case, AGFC.com posts fishing reports weekly. At certain times the fish will be in the tail race below lake ouachita. I would look at the reports and base my fishing pattern off of them. They've never steered me in the wrong direction.
