LFA fishes a team competition once a month. All of our tournaments, on the other Thursdays daytime during the month are draw. Members are always fishing with someone new thereby getting the opportunity to learn many techniques, baits, and places. We are are not capped and are always looking for new members to join our other 50+ mostly seniors.

Each team counts their best 10 fish caught between them. Of course all of the fish caught are measured on a Chek it Stik, recorded and then released. No fish are retained unless someone were to catch a SAL which has never happened. The overs we catch are released as well.

While members catch a fair share of Lake Fork overs, that is fish over 24", most of the bass are of normal size. For us everything 10" and over counts. Some days a little bass is what saves your day.

Winds were light again.

The fish that were caught today mainly came on plastics in the grass, top waters and drop shots.

Dennis Bubinas and Wallace Dyer were first with 21.28 LB on 11bass anchored by Dennis' lunker of the day at 8.42 lb.
Charlie Arnold and Stijn Lens were second with 18.67 LB on 6 bass anchored Stijn's at 7.84 lb. lunker.
Jack White and John Markos were third with 18.19 on 12 bass anchored by Johns' 2.74 lb lunker
Don Overstreet and Gene Shoemaker were fourth with 17.13 on 10 bass anchored by Don's 4.35 Lb. lunker
Randy Steele and Don Cox were fifth with 17.03 on 10 bass anchored by Don's 7.29 lb. lunker.

This is why we fish at Fork: 1-8, 2-7's, 1-6, 1-5, and 1-4 spread over the whole field. Sixth place had 16+.

Sure picked up from August with 94 keepers being caught.
