I was fishing with my neighbor last fall on his boat and there was some pretty good rocky ground on the south side of the lake he knew about. Thought it was over by the old roadbed, but I can't find it this year and it could have been somewhere else. Unfortunately he passed away over the winter so I can't ask him and I don't have a way point as we were in his boat. I like to C-rig and I'd really like to find that rocky section. It was in about 20-25FOW if I remember correctly. Please message me if you can point me in the right direction. C-rig is pretty worthless on a sandy bottom.

I've fished that lake for years, and I know of no rocky anything worth c rigging on the south end of either arms of the lake.

There is a series of humps with chunk rock around them on close to the bridge on the South side by an old road bed that parallels the bridge. Go towards the 2nd bridge and it's right past the last point on your right before you get to the bridge. it is marked on the Navionics card. Some fish hang arund there but they are pretty small.

The place I remember was somewhere across and down a bit from Lynn Creek. The last big cove has the old road that comes into the water and I thought it was around that, but maybe it was one cove closer to the marina. It's frustrating because I caught some fish there late fall when the fish had migrated deep and figured they might be there mid day summer as well but I can't find the rock.
thx for the suggestions. You can always drop shot the bridges when the day heats, but I lose so many drop shot rigs. Not sure if the crappie guys are putting branches down there, but I get hung all the time as the hook is exposed on a drop shot.

I don't do much drop shot but if you're hanging up on brush piles, could you use a hook with a weed guard or would that not work with a drop shot?

Yeah they went overboard on brush piles. The way it is going they are going to have every piling be a brush pile. I use the weedless hooks and they still get hooked up in that mess.

Yea, I'll switch to weedless. I pulled up a wad of line and steel steaks. Like 6 of these 8 inch spikes all wrapped up in line. I'm like WTF, who throws that [censored] in a lake.
